A tragic road accident near Gundlupet in Karnataka's Chamarajanagar district claimed three lives and left four others injured on Tuesday. The incident occurred when a car collided head-on with a truck on the national highway, according to police reports.

The car was traveling from Bengaluru to Mysuru when the driver lost control and veered into the opposite lane, crashing into an oncoming truck. The impact was severe, causing the car to crumple. Three occupants died on the spot, while four others sustained serious injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital.

The deceased were identified as residents of Bengaluru, aged between 25 and 40. The injured include two men and two women, currently receiving treatment at the Gundlupet taluk hospital. Medical staff report that two of the injured are in critical condition and may be transferred to a higher medical facility in Mysuru.
Local villagers and passersby helped rescue the trapped occupants before emergency services arrived. Police and ambulance teams reached the spot within minutes and transported the injured to the hospital.
