Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Wednesday stated that his government is committed to serving the people and directed all departments to remain vigilant, proactive, and accountable in addressing citizens' concerns. Reviewing departmental performance at a Task Monitoring System meeting, Saha called for regular monitoring to ensure timely delivery of public services and faster resolution of public grievances.

Traffic and Public Safety

The Chief Minister flagged traffic management and public safety as priority areas, stressing the need to strengthen enforcement and ease congestion in district headquarters, including Agartala. He directed officials to ensure heavy vehicles comply with prescribed weight limits, keep traffic signals consistently operational, and expedite the development of new motor stands across the state.

Anti-Drug Measures

Saha also asked police to intensify vigilance against drug smuggling, particularly through railways, and ordered strict supervision of nursing homes, rehabilitation centres, and sub-registry offices to ensure integrity and prevent corruption.
