TVK Unveils 24/7 Helpline for Trichy East Constituency Residents

In a significant move ahead of the elections, the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) has announced the launch of a 24x7 toll-free helpline dedicated to residents of the Trichy East constituency. This initiative aims to provide a direct channel for citizens to report civic grievances and issues affecting their daily lives.

Campaign Strategy Focused on Door-to-Door Outreach

TVK General Secretary for election campaign management, Aadhav Arjuna, revealed the details while reviewing election preparations. The party plans to distribute constituency-specific promises printed as brochures along with party flags as stickers to its workers. These materials will be used in an intensive door-to-door campaign targeting every household in Trichy East.

Arjuna emphasized the urgency of the campaign, stating, "We only have eight days. Meet every family at their doorsteps and canvass for our leader Vijay. Our first objective is to split DMK votes. Don't even talk about AIADMK, ignore them."

Vijay's Vision for Trichy East Transformation

Arjuna expressed confidence that TVK leader and actor Vijay would transform Trichy East into a model constituency. He explained that Vijay selected Perambur within the constituency due to its prevalence of thatched huts and high drug abuse rates, aiming to bring about positive change. Additionally, Trichy was chosen because of its central location within the state.

The newly established helpline will allow residents to report any grievances directly, with complaints being forwarded to Vijay for his attention and action. This system is designed to ensure that the leader remains informed about local issues and can address them effectively.

Organizational Structure and Mobilization Efforts

To strengthen their ground presence, TVK has appointed three workers for each of the 304 booths in Trichy East. Each of these three members is tasked with mobilizing an additional 10 party workers under them, creating a robust network to campaign vigorously for Vijay.

Arjuna also commented on the political landscape, noting that the AIADMK and BJP do not pose a major threat to TVK. He pointed out that despite former BJP state president K Annamalai's contributions to party growth, the BJP has sidelined him, suggesting internal challenges within rival parties.

This comprehensive approach combines direct voter engagement through door-to-door campaigns with a responsive grievance redressal mechanism via the helpline. TVK's strategy appears focused on leveraging local issues and personal outreach to gain support in the crucial Trichy East constituency.
