A senior city police official in Trichy elaborated on the situation, stating that while permission was granted for the meeting, TVK's request for campaigning in the area lacked specific location details. "They had requested permission for campaigning as well, but no specific information about locations were given. We therefore forwarded our opinion to the election official and sought a revised request with more information about the campaign locations," the official explained. This bureaucratic hurdle may have contributed to the cancellations, though the party has not publicly cited it as a reason.
