According to official reports from the Medchal police station, the two deceased boys have been identified as Uman, a 14-year-old class 9 student from Munirabad, and Muzzamil, a 13-year-old class 7 student who was studying at a government school in Dabilpur. The incident took place when a group of six friends visited the pond. While four of them stayed at a safe distance from the water, Uman and Muzzamil decided to enter the pond for a swim.
Critical information revealed by the police indicates that neither of the boys knew how to swim. Shortly after entering the water, they began to struggle desperately, signaling distress. Alert locals who witnessed the scene immediately rushed to their aid, managing to pull both boys out of the pond in a rescue effort.

"The two boys who drowned, Uman and Muzzamil, did not know how to swim. Soon after, they began to struggle in the water. On noticing this, locals rushed to their rescue and managed to pull them out of the pond. They were immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared both of them brought dead," he stated.
