According to BNR Peta Sub-Inspector Manikanteswara Reddy, the deceased have been identified as Vasantha Raj (21) and Somasekhar (21). Both young men were residents of Vellore district in Tamil Nadu and worked together at a factory located in Sriperambadur, Chennai.
The tragic event unfolded as the duo were returning to Vellore after attending a wedding in Ponnai. They were traveling on their motorcycle via Chittoor when the accident occurred. Police reports indicate that while crossing Jangalapalli, the motorcycle crashed into a tree trunk at extremely high speed.
