UP BJP Launches Comprehensive Cadre Training Program Ahead of Crucial Elections
In a significant move to bolster its organizational strength, the Uttar Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has planned an elaborate and structured training program for its cadre. Current Training Focus on Mandal-Level Functionaries
Currently, the training efforts are concentrated on functionaries at the mandal level, with Uttar Pradesh comprising a total of 1,918 mandals. Each of these training sessions is conducted over a single day, providing a foundational orientation to new appointees. Anup Gupta, the UP BJP state general secretary, elaborated on the objectives, stating, "The idea is to give orientation to new functionaries organisationally, ideologically, socially, and electorally." Expansion to District Units with Extended Sessions
The training program is set to expand to include functionaries of the district units, with sessions planned to last for two days. Analysts highlight that this proposed training for newly constituted district units will not be limited to administrative procedures. Instead, it will emphasize tightening booth-level control, sharpening ideological clarity, and preparing the cadre comprehensively for the upcoming elections. Simultaneously, the UP BJP is nearing completion of the process to constitute its executive committees in all 98 organizational districts by this week. The party has already established district teams in the western UP and Braj regions. Sources indicate that UP BJP chief Pankaj Chaudhary and state general secretary (organisation) Dharam Pal Singh will convene a meeting to finalize teams for the remaining four regions: Awadh, Kanpur-Bundelkhand, Gorakhpur, and Kashi (Varanasi). These two leaders have already met and apprised the BJP central leadership about the ongoing organizational overhaul, underscoring the importance given to Uttar Pradesh by the party at the national level.
Strategic Nominations to Boost Urban Poll Preparations
This development closely follows the nomination of over 2,800 corporators in urban local bodies, a move done on the recommendation of the UP BJP.
