In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle on Saturday evening, the Uttarakhand government appointed Anand Swaroop as the new Garhwal divisional commissioner. He replaces Vinay Shankar Pandey, who has been given the charge of civil aviation, medical health, and medical education departments as secretary.
Key Appointments and Transfers
Dehradun district magistrate Saveen Bansal has been appointed secretary of planning. He is replaced by 2012-batch IAS officer Ashish Chauhan, who will serve as the new Dehradun DM. Namami Bansal, a 2017-batch IAS officer and former Dehradun municipal commissioner, has been appointed additional secretary in the higher education department. Alok Kumar Pandey has been named the new municipal commissioner of Dehradun. Additionally, BVRC Purushottam has been appointed secretary of higher education.

Overall, the government transferred 19 IAS officers and 10 PCS officers in this reshuffle.
