Dispute Over Parked Vehicle Sparks Initial Clash
Trouble began in Amilia when a dispute broke out between rally participants and a local resident over the removal of a vehicle parked on the road. The argument quickly escalated, with the man allegedly assaulted on the spot. This initial confrontation set the stage for further violence.
Situation Worsens with Attack on Family Home
The situation worsened when a group from the rally later reached his house, where his family members were reportedly manhandled and injured. Police intervened and took the injured for medical examination, but tensions flared again soon after, indicating a rapid deterioration of law and order.
Crowd Turns Unruly at Police Station
Around 50-60 people from the rally gathered at the police station, demanding that those injured be handed over to them. The crowd allegedly turned unruly, pelting stones and creating chaos inside the premises. A few police personnel suffered minor injuries, and property at the station was damaged during the violent outburst.
Additional Forces Deployed to Restore Order
Additional force was rushed in, and the situation was brought under control. Security has since been tightened in the area to prevent further unrest. IG Rewa range Gaurav Rajput stated, "The situation is totally under control now. Around 80 personnel from nearby districts and police force from the local police station have been deployed. Cases are being registered. Appropriate action will be taken against the accused."
