A tragic road accident occurred in Prayagraj on Monday, resulting in the death of a woman after she was struck by a speeding truck. The incident took place in the Karma bazar area on the Gohania-Karma route, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Ghurpur police station.

The accident happened around 1:30 pm when a truck collided with a motorcycle carrying the woman. The impact was so severe that she died on the spot. The truck driver, after causing the fatal accident, abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene.

Agitated by the incident, local residents gathered at the spot and blocked the road, demanding immediate action against the errant truck driver. The blockade caused disruption in the area until senior police officials, including the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) of Kaudhiyara, along with additional forces, arrived at the scene. They managed to pacify the agitators and restore order.
