Hevanti Devi, a resident of Khamkala village in the Adhaura police station jurisdiction, was the wife of Hira Lal Singh. Her husband had tragically lost his life in a road accident on February 18 near Sati Mai Sthan while returning from Khaliyari Bazaar in Uttar Pradesh. The accident occurred barely three days before her suicide, leaving her in a state of profound distress.
According to her father-in-law, Shivcharan Singh, Hevanti was deeply affected by her husband's untimely demise and was unable to overcome the shock. This emotional turmoil allegedly drove her to take the extreme step of ending her own life.
