CM Yogi Adityanath Distributes Rs 14 Lakh in Relief to Gorakhpur Shopkeepers After Devastating Fire
In a significant gesture of support, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday extended financial assistance to four shopkeepers whose livelihoods were severely impacted by a fire incident in Raiganj, Gorakhpur, earlier this month. The CM personally handed over cheques totalling Rs 14 lakh from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund during a meeting held on the premises of the Gorakhnath temple.
Details of the Fire Incident and Its Impact
The fire, which erupted on March 10, caused extensive damage not only to the commercial establishments but also to the household belongings of the affected families. The blaze resulted in significant losses, disrupting the daily lives and economic stability of the victims. The incident highlighted the urgent need for immediate relief to help these individuals recover and rebuild their businesses.
Distribution of Financial Assistance
During the meeting, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath distributed the aid as follows:
- Harishchandra Gupta received a cheque of Rs 5 lakh.
- Amit Kumar Gupta was granted Rs 5 lakh.
- Yuvraj Gupta was provided with Rs 2 lakh.
- Brajesh Mani Gupta also received Rs 2 lakh.
This financial support aims to offer immediate relief and assist the shopkeepers in resuming their livelihoods, thereby mitigating the economic hardship caused by the fire.
