Yogi Adityanath Inaugurates New Milk Chilling Centre in Azamgarh District

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath officially inaugurated a newly constructed milk chilling centre in Azamgarh district on Monday. This facility is part of the expansion efforts of the Shri Baba Gorakhnath Kripa Dugdh Utpadak Sanstha based in Gorakhpur. The inauguration marks a significant step in enhancing the dairy infrastructure of Uttar Pradesh.

Inspection and Operational Details

During his visit, CM Yogi Adityanath thoroughly inspected the production centre and gathered detailed information about its operations. The milk chilling centre is strategically located in Miriya Rehda village within the Sagdi tehsil area. Deputy Dairy Development Officer Atul Kumar Singh provided key insights into the centre's capabilities and reach.

Capacity and Connectivity: The centre boasts an impressive daily capacity of 40,000 litres of milk. It serves as a crucial hub for 165 villages in the region, facilitating efficient milk collection and processing.

Women Empowerment: A remarkable 3,833 women milk producer members are actively associated with this initiative, highlighting its role in promoting gender inclusivity and economic empowerment in rural areas.

Current Operations and Benefits

Currently, approximately 25,000 litres of milk are being collected at the village level by these women milk producers and subsequently delivered to the centre for chilling and further processing. To streamline operations, 10 dedicated workers are engaged in milk procurement activities at the centre.

Logistical Framework: A total of 18 milk collection routes have been meticulously established to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the milk chilling centre. This structured approach enhances accessibility for milk producers across the connected villages.

Economic Impact: The establishment of this centre is poised to significantly benefit milk producers in rural areas by providing them with a reliable market and better storage facilities. It is expected to promote increased milk production, thereby boosting the local dairy economy and improving livelihoods.

Welcoming the Chief Minister

Upon the arrival of CM Yogi Adityanath's helicopter at the designated helipad, he was warmly welcomed by BJP district president Dhruv Singh and Vinod Rajbhar, along with other public representatives. This gesture underscored the collaborative efforts and political support behind the dairy development project.

The inauguration of this milk chilling centre represents a forward-looking initiative aimed at strengthening the dairy sector in Uttar Pradesh, fostering rural development, and supporting women entrepreneurs in the agricultural domain.
