Yogi Adityanath Directs Swift Farmer Registry for Scheme Benefits in Uttar Pradesh
In a significant move to streamline agricultural support, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday underscored the critical importance of a comprehensive farmer registry. This initiative aims to guarantee that farmers across the state can access the benefits of various government schemes in an easy, transparent, and timely manner.
Linking Registry to Agricultural Schemes
During a high-level review meeting, the Chief Minister issued clear directives to link the farmer registry with all agriculture and departmental schemes. This integration is designed to provide registered farmers with priority benefits in several key areas:
- Wheat procurement processes
- Purchase of pulses and oilseeds
- Access to seeds, fertilizers, and crop protection chemicals
- Availability of agricultural equipment
- Other relevant government schemes
By establishing this linkage, the administration seeks to eliminate bureaucratic hurdles and ensure that support reaches the intended beneficiaries without delay.
Expedited Implementation and Coordination
Yogi Adityanath instructed officials to complete the farmer registry process quickly across all districts, operating in campaign mode to accelerate progress. He emphasized the need for special camps to be organized in every gram panchayat, providing immediate solutions to farmers facing issues related to registration.
To facilitate this, the Chief Minister directed that officials from the agriculture department, revenue department, and other related departments work in close coordination. This collaborative approach is expected to enhance efficiency and address any logistical challenges that may arise during the registration drive.
Inclusive Registration and Public Awareness
Highlighting the inclusive nature of the initiative, Yogi Adityanath stated, "All farmers in the state, regardless of whether their landholdings are small or large, should be encouraged to register so they can avail maximum benefits from government schemes." This statement reinforces the commitment to supporting farmers of all scales, ensuring equitable access to resources.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister ordered a large-scale public awareness campaign to ensure that every eligible farmer becomes part of this process. The campaign aims to educate farmers about the registry's benefits, thereby maximizing participation and ensuring that no one is left out from receiving the full advantages of the schemes.
This directive from the Uttar Pradesh government marks a proactive step towards enhancing agricultural productivity and farmer welfare through systematic and transparent governance.
