Yogi Adityanath Reviews Bharat Scouts Jamboree Preparations

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued strict directives to ensure flawless execution of the upcoming 19th Bharat Scouts and Guides Jamboree, emphasizing that the event must meet international standards. The massive gathering, scheduled for November 23-26 at Lucknow's Defence Expo Ground, marks the state's return to hosting the prestigious scouting event after a gap of 61 years.

Comprehensive Review and Strict Directives

During a thorough review meeting held on Thursday, CM Adityanath examined all aspects of the preparations and warned officials against any complacency. The Chief Minister explicitly stated there should be no scope for lapses in the organization of this significant event. He was accompanied by key officials including Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh, Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh, retired IAS officer Prabhat Kusar, and Lucknow DM Vishakh G.

The CM specifically emphasized the need for robust security measures, particularly for the safety of women cadets participating in the jamboree. His directives covered all essential amenities including accommodation, sanitation, food services, healthcare facilities, and digital connectivity, all of which must meet high-quality standards.

Massive Infrastructure and International Participation

The scale of the event is truly monumental. The 300-acre FIDO Jamboree complex has been designed to accommodate 32,000 scouts and 3,000 staff members, creating a temporary city within Lucknow. The infrastructure development includes 16 German hangers, 600 water tanks, 30 RO water points, over 2,200 toilets, 100 kitchens, and four central kitchens to manage the massive gathering.

International participation adds global significance to the event, with delegates expected from Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Afghanistan, and several Asia-Pacific countries. This international representation transforms the jamboree into a cross-cultural exchange platform while showcasing Uttar Pradesh's organizational capabilities on the world stage.

Technological and Cultural Showcase

The jamboree will feature an impressive array of technological and cultural exhibits that highlight Uttar Pradesh's progress and diversity. Visitors can explore 100 stalls showcasing ODOP (One District One Product) items, robotics and electronics displays, and NEDA's solar energy pavilion focusing on renewable energy innovations.

Additional attractions include a planetarium, artificial intelligence zones, and cultural exhibits representing various regions of Uttar Pradesh including Varanasi and Bundelkhand. The event will also offer diverse culinary experiences featuring traditional cuisines from across the state.

To ensure smooth operations, authorities are establishing a conference hall with 3,500 capacity, a temporary police station, and deploying 11 fire tenders on site. A dedicated mobile tower is being installed to help young cadets maintain communication with their families during their stay.

The 19th Bharat Scouts and Guides Jamboree represents not just a scouting event but a significant opportunity for Uttar Pradesh to demonstrate its capability to host world-class international gatherings while promoting youth development and cultural exchange.
