CM Yogi Adityanath Takes Firm Stand Against Land Grabbing in Gorakhpur
In a strong message from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday issued a clear directive to officials: take strict and immediate action against land grabbers. He emphasized that those who harass the poor will face severe consequences and must not be spared under any circumstances.
Protecting the Vulnerable: A Government Priority
"Such elements must not be spared, and the rights of the poor must be protected," declared the Chief Minister during a Janata Darshan program held at the Mahant Digvijaynath Smriti Bhawan near the Gorakhnath Temple. The event saw around 200 people gather to present their grievances directly to the CM.
Adityanath personally met with the attendees, collecting their applications and offering firm assurances. "Do not worry. The government will ensure action on all your problems," he stated, reinforcing the administration's commitment to prompt and sensitive handling of public complaints.
A Hands-On Approach to Grievance Redressal
Moving among the seated visitors, the Chief Minister took the time to hear each complaint individually. He then handed over the applications to officials with specific instructions, stressing the need for a time-bound and satisfactory resolution process.
He directed the administration to adopt a fair, transparent, and efficient approach, ensuring all cases are dealt with within a fixed timeline. This hands-on methodology underscores the government's dedication to accessible and effective governance.
Addressing Diverse Public Concerns
The Janata Darshan covered a wide range of issues beyond land disputes. Several family conflicts were brought to the CM's attention, to which he advised resolution through dialogue. However, he made it clear that if amicable solutions fail, appropriate legal action should be pursued without delay.
In response to requests for medical financial assistance, Adityanath offered a compassionate assurance: no one will be denied necessary treatment due to lack of funds. He instructed officials to promptly prepare estimates for required treatments so that financial aid can be released swiftly, alleviating the burden on struggling families.
A Personal Touch and Spiritual Routine
The Chief Minister also engaged with women who had brought their children to the event, distributing chocolates and offering his blessings—a gesture that highlighted his approachable and caring demeanor.
Earlier in the day, Adityanath performed rituals at the Gorakhnath Temple and paid homage at the samadhi of his guru, Mahant Avaidyanath. Continuing his spiritual routine, he visited the temple's cowshed, spending quality time with the cattle and feeding them jaggery, reflecting his deep-rooted connection to the community and its traditions.
This comprehensive engagement in Gorakhpur not only addressed immediate public grievances but also reinforced the government's stance on justice and welfare, particularly for the economically disadvantaged.
