He advised them to remain vigilant and to thoroughly verify the identity of any person before offering them employment in domestic work or business establishments. State-Wide Police Operation Underway
Following the Chief Minister's directive, the Uttar Pradesh police have launched a coordinated operation targeting individuals suspected of being illegal immigrants. The crackdown stems from mounting concerns over foreign nationals fraudulently obtaining Indian identity documents like Aadhaar cards and voter IDs to blend in as local citizens.
Senior officials have revealed that authorities across 17 municipal bodies have been instructed to swiftly prepare lists of foreign workers whose presence or employment circumstances seem dubious. The government has made it clear that anyone attempting to settle in Uttar Pradesh using forged papers will face severe legal consequences.
Coordinated Effort to Scrutinize Documents
A comprehensive verification drive for identity papers is currently in progress across the state. This initiative was triggered after investigations revealed multiple instances where Rohingya and Bangladeshi individuals tried to secure official Indian identification.
