Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken swift action following a direct complaint from a farmer, ordering immediate and surprise inspections of paddy procurement centres in Shahjahanpur district. The directive came during the weekly Janata Darshan at his official residence in Lucknow on Monday.
Farmer's Grievance Triggers Immediate Action
A farmer from Shahjahanpur district approached the Chief Minister during the public audience session, raising serious allegations of negligence and irregularities at a local paddy procurement centre. Taking the complaint with utmost seriousness, CM Yogi did not delay his response. He immediately ordered surprise inspections of the procurement centres operating in Shahjahanpur to verify the claims on the ground.
The Chief Minister made it clear that strict action must be taken against any centre or official where malpractices or lapses are detected. This move underscores the administration's stated focus on protecting farmers' interests and ensuring a smooth procurement process.
Multiple Petitions Addressed During Public Hearing
The Janata Darshan session saw several other citizens presenting their issues. A PAC constable also met the CM and raised certain concerns, which were promptly forwarded to the concerned officer for immediate and appropriate resolution. Additionally, some petitioners from Prayagraj attended the hearing and shared their grievances with the state's top executive.
For all these cases, Yogi Adityanath directed the respective district administrations and police officials to take necessary steps to resolve the matters effectively and without undue delay.
Government's Commitment to Public Service Reiterated
Addressing the petitioners, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reinforced his government's core principle. "Serving every needy person is the government's foremost objective," he stated. He highlighted that for the past eight and a half years, the administration has consistently worked to listen to public concerns and resolve them effectively.
He assured all attendees that each grievance presented during the Janata Darshan would be addressed with due seriousness and sensitivity. The surprise inspection order for the paddy centres is a direct manifestation of this assurance, translating a farmer's complaint into immediate administrative action.
