Named defendants in the case include resort owners David Callan and R. Scott Williams, along with the Hawk Opportunity Fund LP. Director Randall Zuniga revealed that Miller Gardner's blood showed carboxyhemoglobin saturation levels significantly above 50%, which medical experts consider lethal. "In this case, the saturation percentage is higher, thus proving the police's hypothesis that the death was due to exposure to carbon monoxide," Zuniga stated. Comprehensive drug tests for substances including fentanyl all returned negative results.
