The May 18 edition of Monday Night RAW took place at the First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. The show featured the shocking return of Brock Lesnar, who was rumored to have retired at WrestleMania 42, as he targeted a former foe. Additionally, a Tribal Combat match was confirmed for Clash in Italy. Exciting matches and a chaotic main event further set the tone for this blockbuster episode of the flagship show.
What happened in the opening segment of WWE RAW?
Jacob Fatu got into a heated argument with The Usos and immediately attacked them. However, Jimmy and Jey managed to overpower him and tied him to the ropes. Roman Reigns then arrived and delivered a beatdown on Fatu with his cousins. This led Fatu to challenge Reigns to a Tribal Combat match for the World title at the Clash in Italy Premium Live Event.
Finn Balor vs. JD McDonagh
The first match of the night was a Street Fight between JD McDonagh and Finn Balor. It featured both competitors using multiple foreign objects to inflict damage and saw Dominik Mysterio interfering on McDonagh's behalf. In the final moments, Mysterio accidentally hit McDonagh with a 619. Balor capitalized by hitting a Coup De Grace on a trash can to seal the win.
Six-man tornado tag team match
Original El Grande Americano and The Creed Brothers squared off against Los Americanos in a tornado tag team match, meaning no tags were required, and all six men were in the ring simultaneously. It was a chaotic affair between both sides. With two members of the opposition disposed of outside the ring, El Grande Americano hit a headbutt to Bruto with his loaded mask to secure the win for his team.
Brie Bella & Paige vs. Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez
Brie Bella and Paige defended the WWE Women's Tag Team titles against Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez. The exciting tag bout saw Brie ducking as Perez attempted to hit her with the belt and rolling Perez for the win. Liv Morgan came down to attack her and Paige, only for Bayley and Lyra Valkyria to make the save.
Oba Femi open challenge
As Oba Femi entered the ring and posed, he was assaulted by the returning Brock Lesnar, who laid him out with three consecutive F-5s. Lesnar's return put an end to retirement rumors and set up a rematch between him and Femi for Clash in Italy.
Seth Rollins vs. Austin Theory
This was a singles match between Seth Rollins and Austin Theory. Despite multiple attempts from The Vision members to interfere, Rollins fended them off and hit a Pedigree on Theory for the win. They tried to attack him post-match, only for The Street Profits to come to his aid. However, Bron Breakker came out and took out everyone, with The Vision standing tall in the end.
