Buemi's Monaco Win & Family Podium Highlight 2025

Swiss racing driver Sebastien Buemi of Envision Racing has capped off a remarkable 2025 season by finally breaking a prolonged winless streak in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. The 37-year-old veteran secured a highly emotional victory at the iconic Monaco E-Prix, a feat he followed with another podium finish in Jakarta.

A Season of Triumph and Family Moments

Reflecting on the year, Buemi took to Instagram to share a collection titled "The best snaps from 2025." The cover image featured his most cherished professional moment: celebrating the Monaco Grand Prix win with his Envision Racing team, champagne in hand. He also shared a fun shot of his celebratory pool jump in Monaco, upholding a popular Formula E tradition in the principality.

However, the image that truly captured the hearts of fans was a heartwarming family portrait. Buemi posted a picture of himself on the podium, flanked by his three young sons. The Swiss champion shares his children with his wife, Jennifer. The post also showcased Buemi's keen eye for photography, featuring several stunning shots from various races throughout the competitive season.

The Unforgettable Monaco Victory

The undisputed highlight of Sebastien Buemi's year was his surprise win on the streets of Monte Carlo. Speaking after the race, an emotional Buemi admitted he had begun to doubt another victory was possible. "I thought I would never win again at some points," he confessed. "You need a bit of luck, the right timing, the right car, a good team, and today everything just came together. I'm so happy and actually speechless because it's been a long time."

He detailed the strategic mastery behind ending his podium drought. The early race involved intense battles with rivals Antonio Felix da Costa and Max Gunther. Buemi credited a well-timed Attack Mode activation and his ability to read the evolving track conditions as key to his success. "I was able to read where the track was drying up, especially in Turns 3 and 4. There was lots of lap time to be gained, but you needed the confidence, and today I had it," Buemi explained, adding proudly that he thought his win tally had stalled for good.

New Teammate and a Strong Season Start

The 2025 season also marked a new chapter for Envision Racing, with Buemi being joined by a new teammate. Joel Eriksson stepped into the seat, replacing Robin Frijns. Buemi's photo series included a shot of the two drivers in action, highlighting the fresh team dynamic.

Buemi carried the momentum from his stellar 2025 into the start of Formula E's Season 12. He began the new campaign on a positive note, securing an eighth-place finish at the Sao Paulo E-Prix, directly behind teammate Joel Eriksson who finished seventh. This solid start indicates that the confidence from the Monaco victory continues to propel the seasoned champion forward.
