Buxar District Magistrate Conducts Surprise Inspection at Sports Training Centre
District Magistrate Sahila of Buxar made an unannounced visit to the Bihar State Eklavya Residential Training Centre on Thursday. This facility also functions as a Plus Two CPS High School in Dumraon. The DM spent considerable time examining the campus infrastructure and speaking directly with student athletes residing there.
Focus on Student Welfare and Basic Amenities
During her thorough inspection, Sahila paid special attention to living conditions at the residential centre. She issued clear instructions to the deputy superintendent of physical education regarding several critical areas. The official must ensure proper accommodation arrangements for all students. Maintaining cleanliness in both hostel premises and kitchen facilities received particular emphasis. Availability of basic amenities for the young athletes also formed a key part of her directives.
The District Magistrate connected these efforts to broader government initiatives. She specifically referenced the chief secretary's directives and the state government's Seventh Resolution titled "Respect for All: Ease of Living." Sahila explained that reducing daily difficulties faced by citizens represents the core objective. Improving overall quality of life for people across the district remains the ultimate goal.
New System for Public Grievance Redressal
Addressing another important aspect of public service, the DM announced a structured approach to handling citizen complaints. A district-level public grievance redressal session will now occur twice every week. These sessions will take place on Mondays and Fridays without fail. They will commence at 3pm sharp at the Buxar Collectorate building.
Assistant disaster management officer Kumar Nachiketa received appointment as officer-in-charge for these sessions. His responsibilities include processing all applications submitted during the grievance meetings. Nachiketa must register each complaint properly and ensure their resolution happens within reasonable timeframes.
Supervisory Structure for Complaint Resolution
Senior deputy collector Alok Narayan Vats will supervise the entire grievance redressal process. He will monitor proceedings and ensure proper follow-up on all registered complaints. When Vats becomes unavailable due to official duties or other reasons, senior deputy collector Ravi Bahadur will assume supervisory responsibilities.
The system includes provisions for situations when the District Magistrate cannot attend. If unavoidable circumstances prevent DM Sahila's presence during scheduled sessions, the deputy development commissioner will meet with the public instead. This ensures citizens always have access to senior administrative officials during designated grievance hours.
The inspection and subsequent announcements demonstrate the district administration's commitment to both educational excellence and responsive governance. Student athletes at the Eklavya Centre can expect improved living conditions while Buxar residents gain regular opportunities to voice their concerns directly to officials.
