Formula E Drivers Share Pancake Preferences During Break

Jeddah E-Prix Concludes with High-Octane Action and Lighthearted Driver Moments

The Jeddah E-Prix concluded this weekend with an exciting doubleheader and an additional Formula E Evo Session for content creators. The intense racing schedule has now given way to a much-needed month-long break for all teams and drivers before the championship resumes in March.

Drivers Reveal Pancake Preferences in Fun Social Media Video

With a full month until Round 6 in Madrid, Formula E shared an entertaining Instagram video from the track featuring drivers answering the question: "What pancake topping are you having?" The lighthearted segment offered fans a glimpse into the personal tastes of their favorite motorsport athletes.

The video revealed diverse preferences among the drivers. Jaguar TCS Racing's Antonio Felix da Costa prefers a combination of Nutella and peanut butter, while Porsche champion Pascal Wehrlein opts for classic Nutella. Envision Racing driver Joel Eriksson chooses strawberries, and Andretti's Jake Dennis enjoys caramel on his pancakes.

Luca Di Grassi shared a unique cultural choice, explaining: "Dulce de leche. It's sweetened condensed milk that they make in Brazil, Argentina, and other places."

One Driver Breaks from the Pancake Tradition

Not all drivers participated in the pancake celebration. DS Penske driver Taylor Barnard admitted he is not a pancake fan at all. When asked about his preferred topping, he replied: "I don't like pancakes, so none. I just have cereal in the morning." When questioned about what he does on Pancake Day, Barnard simply stated: "I ignore it."

Fan reactions to the video were enthusiastic, with one commenting: "Yum, can't go wrong with a pancake!" while another noted: "Not one lemon juice and sugar!?" highlighting the absence of this traditional British topping choice.

Looking Ahead to the Madrid E-Prix

The drivers are coming off impressive performances in Jeddah, where Pascal Wehrlein won the first race of the doubleheader and Antonio Felix da Costa claimed victory in the second race. The Formula E Evo Session on Sunday was won by social media influencer TheBurntChip while driving for Jaguar TCS Racing.

All teams now prepare for the upcoming Madrid E-Prix, which marks a new addition to the Formula E calendar. Scheduled for March 21, Round 6 will take place at the Circuito de Madrid Jarama-RACE, located in San Sebastian de los Reyes approximately 30 kilometers from Madrid's city center.

This extended break provides valuable preparation time for teams to refine their strategies and for drivers to recharge before the championship continues with what promises to be an exciting new circuit on the Formula E calendar.
