Akhil Garg now heads the Referee Board. This board manages umpiring and refereeing systems following international rules. Harshit Yadav leads both the Selection Committee and Technical Committee.

Understanding Box Cricket
The federation clarified that box cricket follows a modern, organized format. It adheres to the official Rule Book issued by the International Box Cricket Federation.
This version of cricket uses a limited, net-enclosed ground. This setup makes games fast, safe, and time-bound. Each team fields eleven players, with eight on the field and three reserves.
Players use soft or tennis balls, ensuring safety for all age groups. The IBCF rulebook divides box cricket into three categories: male, female, and mixed.
The mixed category requires participation from both male and female players. Teams must include at least six male and five female players. This rule promotes gender equality, participation, and inclusivity in sports.
Future Goals and Reactions
Under its new leadership, the Hindustan Box Cricket Federation aims to establish a strong identity for box cricket. It seeks to provide an organized sports platform for youth and develop the sport professionally.
Federation members, players, and sports enthusiasts congratulated the newly elected leadership. They expressed optimism for a bright future for box cricket in India and beyond.
