Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Kiren Rijiju on Monday hailed the Indian wrestlers for their dominant performance at the U23 Asian Wrestling Championships, describing it as a defining moment for Indian wrestling. India secured a total of 12 medals, including 4 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze, at the U23 Asian Championships held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. The gold medalists were Deepak Punia (86kg freestyle), Sagar Jaglan (70kg freestyle), Anshu Malik (57kg women's freestyle), and Sonam (62kg women's freestyle).
