In a remarkable display of dedication, a government school teacher from HD Kote in Mysuru conducted special classes for her students just hours after the death of her husband, ahead of the SSLC mathematics examination. Her effort bore fruit as the school recorded a 100% pass result, with all 57 students clearing the exam. The highest score in mathematics was 91 out of 100, a sharp improvement from last year's pass percentage of 74%.
Teacher's Commitment
Jyothi K, the mathematics teacher who is also the in-charge headmistress, humbly stated, "Credit should go to students and parents." Two days before the exam, her husband Kiran Kumar, a resident of Dattagalli in Mysuru, passed away. Despite the personal loss, Jyothi returned to school the very next morning and taught for nearly nine hours.
Recognition and Impact
Block education officer CN Raju praised her as a true role model. The school's performance this year marks a significant improvement, reflecting the teacher's unwavering commitment to her students' success.
