IAF Ready for Any Action on Pak, China Missile Tests

Air Marshal Awadhesh Kumar Bharti, Vice Chief of the Indian Air Force, stated on Thursday that the force is prepared to undertake whatever actions are necessary to safeguard national security. His remarks come in response to recent missile tests conducted by Pakistan and China.

Continuous Monitoring and Upgradation

Addressing a press conference, Air Marshal Bharti emphasized that India is continuously monitoring the evolving security environment. He noted that the Indian Air Force is consistently upgrading its defence capabilities to maintain an edge over Pakistan and China. Key initiatives include the ongoing procurement of S-400 air defence systems from Russia and the development of indigenous projects such as the Kusha long-range surface-to-air missile system and the planned Sudarshan Chakra multi-layered air defence system.

Operation Sindoor Success

Air Marshal Bharti highlighted the success of Operation Sindoor, during which India struck and destroyed nine terror camps and multiple Pakistani airfields. He detailed that the operation resulted in damage to several Pakistani aircraft and a high-value airborne asset. He clarified that Pakistan failed to inflict significant damage on Indian military or civilian infrastructure.

He described India's response as decisive, sending a clear message that terrorism will have consequences.

Future Preparedness

Air Marshal Bharti reiterated that the Indian Air Force remains vigilant and ready to respond to any threat. He stressed that the force's modernisation efforts are aimed at ensuring air superiority and protecting national interests. The development of indigenous systems like Kusha and Sudarshan Chakra reflects India's commitment to self-reliance in defence production.

He concluded by stating that the IAF will continue to take all necessary measures to counter any adversary, underscoring the nation's resolve to maintain peace and security in the region.
