A tragic road accident in Dharmapuri district claimed the lives of a young man and an elderly man when two motorcycles collided head-on near Pappireddipatti on Thursday night. The deceased have been identified as Vignesh, 25, a resident of Pappambadi, and Ganesan, 60, from Mullikkaadu.
Details of the Accident
According to police reports, Vignesh and his friend Manikandan, 25, had traveled to the Samiyapuram Kootroad area on a motorcycle on Thursday evening. While returning home, their motorcycle crashed head-on into another motorcycle ridden by Ganesan at Pappireddipatti. The impact was so severe that Ganesan was thrown off his motorcycle and died instantly at the scene.
Rescue and Medical Response
Passers-by and local residents rushed to help the injured. Vignesh and Manikandan were critically injured and were immediately taken to the Pappireddipatti Government Hospital. However, Vignesh succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital. Manikandan has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit and is receiving treatment for his injuries.
