The junior players of CCI and Chembur Gymkhana showcased exceptional talent to guide their teams into the semi-finals of the Kanji Cup at the Motiram, Ullal and Kanji Cup Badminton tournament, organized by GMBA, promoted by Badminton Gurukul, and hosted by Willingdon SC. Thakur SC and All India Balkan ji Bari also advanced to the last four.
CCI and Chembur Gymkhana Dominate
CCI remained unbeaten, securing 3-0 victories over Thakur SC and hosts Willingdon SC to qualify for the semi-finals. Similarly, Chembur Gymkhana recorded 3-1 wins against Bankan ji Bari and P M Bath to book their spot. In the semi-finals, CCI will face All India Balkan Ji Bari, while Chembur Gymkhana will clash with Thakur SC for a place in the final.
Elite Semi-Finals of Motiram Cup
Both Chembur Gymkhana and CCI also secured their places in the Elite semi-finals of the Motiram Cup for men, alongside BKLP ‘A’ and Bombay Gymkhana A. CCI will take on Bombay Gymkhana, while BKLP will compete against Chembur Gymkhana. The Motiram Cup Plate semi-finals will feature NSCI ‘A’ versus BKLP ‘B’ and Juhu Gymkhana against CCI ‘B’.
