More than 160 players from prominent badminton-playing clubs across Mumbai are set to participate in the prestigious Motiram, Ullal & Kanji Cup tournament, which carries a prize pool of Rs 1 lakh. The event will be hosted by the Willingdon Sports Club from May 13 to 17, 2026.
Tournament Structure and Organization
The tournament will feature three concurrent events for men, women, and juniors. It is organized by the Greater Mumbai Badminton Association (GMBA), managed and promoted by Badminton Gurukul, with Yonex Sunrise serving as the Equipment Partners. A total of 14 teams will compete in the Motiram Cup for men, while six teams each will participate in the Ullal Cup for men and the Kanji Cup for juniors.
