Jaipur: The third edition of the Atiya Parveen Memorial Women's Twenty20 Cricket tournament, organized by the Maitri Cricket Club, is set to take place from May 5 at the Sony Stadium in Jaipur. A total of four teams will compete for the top honors in this event, which aims to promote women's cricket in the region.
Tournament Format and Schedule
The tournament will span two days. On the first day, two semi-final matches will be played. The second day will feature a match between the two losing teams to determine the third and fourth place, followed by the final match to decide the first and second place winners.
Awards and Prizes
In each match, the player of the match and the man of the tournament will receive a prize of Rs 1,100. Additionally, the best batter will be awarded Rs 500, the best bowler Rs 500, and the best fielder Rs 500. These prizes are intended to recognize and encourage outstanding performances.
Encouraging Women's Cricket
To further support women's cricket in the region, the organizers have announced that no entry fees will be charged from any participating team. This decision was communicated in a press release issued on Monday, emphasizing the club's commitment to fostering the sport.
