Senior Colvin Shield Cricket Tournament: Key Performances and Results
In the state-level Senior Colvin Shield cricket tournament, organized by the Rajasthan Cricket Association ad hoc committee, several players delivered outstanding performances at various grounds on Saturday. Mohd Anas struck a brilliant century, while Jayant Tambi and Girdhari Ram narrowly missed reaching the three-figure mark. Teams from Jaipur, Jodhpur, Ajmer, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Tonk, and Barmer secured victories against their respective opponents on the fifth day of the annual tournament.
The day was marked by all-round performances from Pankaj Jangid, Himanshu Rana, Sahil Dewan, and Shubham Patwal, along with excellent bowling from Rahul Chaudhary.
Tonk Defeats Alwar by 81 Runs
At the Republic Ground in Tonk, the home team triumphed over Alwar by 81 runs. The match, originally scheduled for 50 overs, was reduced to 33 overs due to rain. Tonk posted a formidable total of 239 for 5, powered by Mohd Anas's unbeaten 104. He received solid support from Aditya Wadhwa (54) and Vishal (32). For Alwar, Praveen Kumar claimed two wickets. In response, Alwar was bowled out for 158, with Mayank Kumar top-scoring with 39. Tonk's bowlers led the charge, with Lokendra Chaudhary taking 3 for 31, while Anas and Saad picked up two wickets each.

Jaipur vs Rajsamand (Jaipuria Ground): Jaipur won by 171 runs. Sikar vs Hanumangarh (Anantam Ground): Sikar won by 5 wickets in a rain-reduced 41-over contest. Hanumangarh was bowled out for 196, with Prashant Mali and Swapnil both scoring 59. Sikar's Himanshu Nehra took 3/29. In reply, Sikar reached 200 for 5, thanks to Divya Gajraj (67), Mukul Chaudhary (31), Sachin (28 not out), Shubham Sharma (24), and Himanshu Nehra (23 not out). Hanumangarh's bowlers Swapnil and Ravinder claimed two wickets each.
