Visits and Interactions

The itinerary also included a visit to the Indian Astronomical Observatory in Hanle — one of the world’s highest observatories — and an inspirational interactive session with the Ladakh Scouts. This session provided valuable insights into the regiment’s history, its formation, and its significant contributions in various wars. The session was both informative and engaging, enabling students to develop a deeper understanding of the dedication and service of the armed forces.

The team was also given a supervised, simulated shooting session, where they were introduced to the handling of rifles and pistols under expert guidance. The visit was further distinguished by an interaction with Major Ignace Tirki, an Indian field hockey Olympian and Padma Shri recipient, whose exemplary achievements served as a source of inspiration for all present.

Conclusion and Return

The team arrived back in Chandigarh on June 19, marking the successful end of the challenging expedition that tested their endurance and teamwork.
