Passengers traveling between Nagpur and Pune will face inconvenience next week as Central Railway has announced the cancellation, diversion, and rescheduling of several trains due to infrastructure upgrade works on the Daund-Manmad section of Pune Division. A special traffic block is being implemented for pre-non-interlocking (Pre-NI) and non-interlocking (NI) works between Akolner, Ahilya Nagar, and Nimbalak stations.
Major Trains Affected
The Nagpur-Pune Garib Rath Express is among the key trains impacted. Train No. 12114 Nagpur-Pune Garib Rath will remain cancelled from Nagpur on May 15 and May 17, while Train No. 12113 Pune-Nagpur Garib Rath will remain cancelled from Pune on May 16 and May 18.
Additionally, Train No. 12136 Nagpur-Pune Special departing from Nagpur on May 16 has also been cancelled. Train No. 22140 Ajni-Pune Express departing on May 17 will run via an alternate route: Manmad, Nashik Road, Kalyan, Panvel, Karjat, and Lonavala. Similarly, Train No. 22845 Pune-Hatia Express departing on May 17 will be diverted via Lonavala, Karjat, Panvel, Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nashik Road, and Manmad.

Passengers are advised to check the revised schedules and plan their journeys accordingly. The railway authorities have requested cooperation from commuters during this period of essential infrastructure upgrades.
