Safety Concerns Raised
Officials have attributed such incidents to unsafe practices during farm mechanization. Chief district agriculture officer Suresh Chandra Mallick emphasized that human error and improper handling of machines are key causes of such accidents.
“Farmers should avoid wearing loose clothes like dhotis, towels, and lungis while working near machinery. They must also refrain from attempting adjustments when equipment is running,” Mallick advised.
This incident highlights the need for greater awareness and adherence to safety protocols in agricultural operations to prevent similar tragedies.
