Denis Visinsky was among the visitors' most dangerous players early on, coming close to scoring in the eighth minute when his low shot narrowly missed the target.
Second-half breakthrough by Mateo Chavez
Mexico gradually took control of the match and broke the deadlock ten minutes into the second half. Mateo Chavez used his pace to get behind the Czech defence and calmly finished to give the hosts a 1-0 lead, sparking celebrations among the home crowd.
