Jewar Farmers to Fly on Inaugural Noida Airport Flight

Lucknow: Jewar MLA Dhirendra Singh announced on Sunday that 170 farmers, including 20 women, will travel on the inaugural flight from Noida International Airport on Monday. He described the event as a historic moment for the region and the country.

Speaking ahead of the flight, Singh stated that it might be unprecedented in world history for farmers whose land was acquired for an airport to become passengers on its first flight. He credited Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s leadership and vision for turning that aspiration into reality for the farmers of Jewar.

The delegation, led by Singh, will fly from Jewar to Lucknow at 8 am and meet the Chief Minister. The farmers will express their gratitude to the CM for the development initiatives in the region, and he is expected to interact with them during the visit.

Singh emphasized that the inaugural flight would symbolize the aspirations of North India and include not only landowners but also women and agricultural laborers displaced by the airport project, even if their land was not directly acquired.

Calling it an emotional and proud moment, the MLA said the initiative reflects Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of making air travel accessible to ordinary citizens. He described the event as a landmark day in the country’s history and noted that Jewar has emerged as a key driver of development and prosperity in the region.

He also invited people to visit Jewar Airport to witness the sentiments and experiences of the farmers participating in the historic flight.
