The development comes amid Pandya's turbulent second coming to MI, which has seen the team secure only one play-off berth under his captaincy.

Hardik Pandya returned to Mumbai Indians in 2024 after leading Gujarat Titans to consecutive finals, winning the title in 2022. However, his second spell with MI has been far from smooth.
