The West Central Railway (WCR) Bhopal Division has rolled out detailed crowd-management arrangements for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) scheduled on June 21. With thousands of examinees expected to travel, the division aims to ensure a safe and seamless journey.
Key Examination Hubs Identified
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (DCM) Saurabh Kataria stated that the division has pinpointed major examination hubs: Bhopal, Ashoknagar, Guna, Hoshangabad, and Vidisha. Special arrangements are being implemented at station premises, entry and exit gates, and platforms across these locations.
Candidate Influx Numbers
Officials revealed that Bhopal will witness the highest number of candidates, with 13,774 registered examinees. This is followed by Guna (1,839), Vidisha (1,709), Hoshangabad (1,283), and Ashoknagar (865).
Measures to Manage Rush
To handle the anticipated crowd, additional commercial staff, Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel, and operational staff will be deployed at all principal stations. Public address systems and enquiry counters will remain active throughout the day to guide passengers. Barricading and directional signage will be installed to facilitate orderly queues and smooth movement.
Assistance for Exam-bound Passengers
Officials will provide targeted information and assistance to passengers heading to examination centers. Kataria emphasized that staff have been instructed to stay alert and respond promptly to any unexpected crowding or special situations. The division has issued directives to maintain heightened vigilance and ensure punctual train services for stations serving these towns.
Train Punctuality Focus
Special efforts will be made to safeguard the on-time passage of trains that stop at or pass through exam-centre towns, officials added.
Appeal to Candidates
Railway authorities have urged candidates and their accompanying family members to arrive at stations well in advance, follow staff instructions, and cooperate with crowd-management measures. This cooperation will help minimize delays and ensure a trouble-free journey on the day of the examination.
