Kanpur: Patel Properties and GTB Warriors secured convincing victories in their respective league matches of the Cawnpore Cricket T20 League on Sunday. Patel Properties defeated Crazy Rangers by 49 runs, while GTB Warriors dominated Knight Scorchers with an 84-run win.
Patel Properties vs Crazy Rangers
Batting first, Patel Properties posted a formidable total of 192 for 4 in their allotted overs. Gaurav Pathak top-scored with a brilliant 81, while Ankur contributed 48 and Devendra added 21. Naseeruddin was the pick of the bowlers for Crazy Rangers, taking 2 for 12. In reply, Crazy Rangers were bowled out for 143, with Ayush Shukla making 52 and Sarvesh scoring 22. Ram Singh (3 for 19), Vikas Bharti (3 for 40), and Saurabh Singh (2 for 22) led the bowling attack for Patel Properties.
GTB Warriors vs Knight Scorchers
GTB Warriors put on a batting masterclass, amassing 240 for 4 in their innings. Chetan Singh smashed 81, while Abhinav Sharma made 38 and Nihal Ahmad contributed 31. Chandrabhal Singh took 2 for 32 for Knight Scorchers. Chasing a mammoth target, Knight Scorchers could only manage 126, with Uma Shankar scoring 47 and Gaurav Verma adding 26. Dinesh and Santosh claimed 2 wickets each for GTB Warriors, conceding only 11 and 16 runs respectively.
KDMA League: Campus IIT Triumphs
In a low-scoring encounter of the KDMA League at the IIT main ground on Sunday, Campus IIT outplayed Rolland Club by 10 runs. Campus IIT were bowled out for 113, with Gaurav Yadav top-scoring with 27, followed by Ansh Gupta (21) and Arnav Kulkarni (19). Ankul Jain (3 for 13) and Saurabh Mishra (3 for 2) were the standout bowlers for Rolland Club. In response, Rolland Club were restricted to 103, despite Gopal Singh's 36 and Vijay Verma's 22. Mayank Pandey took 4 for 21, while Arnav Kulkarni chipped in with 3 for 36.
