Locals rushed him to the Krishnagiri Government Medical College Hospital, where his condition is reported to be stable.

Villagers Block Road in Protest

Angry villagers staged a road blockade on the Maharajakadai-Kuppam Road, demanding immediate action from the forest department to push stray elephants back into the deep forest and prevent such incidents from recurring. “We cannot live in constant fear. Forest officials must chase these elephants back into the deep forest before more lives are lost,” said J Abdullah, a villager. Another protester and farmer K Mani added, “Our crops are being destroyed, and now people are being attacked. We urge authorities to act swiftly and protect us.”

Authorities Assure Action

Protesters later dispersed after forest department officials held discussions with them and assured that their concerns would be addressed. The incident highlights the ongoing conflict between humans and wildlife in the region.
