Punjab FC has secured the services of midfielder Mohammad Inam on a two-year contract, with the deal running until May 31, 2028. The 26-year-old joins from Real Kashmir FC, where he served as captain during the 2025-26 Indian Football League season.
Inam's Journey from Kashmir to Punjab
Born and raised in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, Inam began playing football at the age of 10. He impressed during his time in Real Kashmir's youth setup, earning an invitation from the All-India Football Federation (AIFF) for the AFC U-16 national team trials.
Inam's senior career started with Lonestar Kashmir before moving to Delhi FC in 2021, where he featured in the I-League qualifiers and the Durand Cup. Over two spells with Real Kashmir, he made 53 appearances and scored six goals. He also played for Downtown Heroes before returning to Real Kashmir, where he established himself as a key midfielder and eventually earned the captain's armband for the 2025-26 campaign.
