After teenage debutant Rajat Baghel set the tone with a brilliant 145 on the opening day, Raj Sharma and Karan Lamba continued the onslaught. Resuming at their overnight score of 212/3, Rajasthan added 258 runs to be all out for a formidable total of 480.

Raj Sharma, who was batting on 52 at the end of the first day, went on to amass an impressive 168 runs from 240 balls. His innings included 21 boundaries and one six, demonstrating both patience and aggression. Sharma added a massive 210 runs for the fifth wicket with Karan Lamba, who contributed a fluent 100 from just 125 deliveries, featuring 12 fours.

Assam Struggles in Response to Rajasthan's Total

In reply, Assam got off to a poor start and ended Day 2 at a precarious 84 for 4. At one stage, they were reeling at 32 for 4 as medium-pacer Ganesh Suthar ripped apart the visitors' top-order with an outstanding bowling performance. Suthar finished with figures of 11-2-25-4, putting Assam under immense pressure.

So far, Rajveer Singh and Sumit Kashyap have added 52 runs for the unbroken fifth wicket, offering some resistance. However, Assam still trails by a massive 396 runs with two days remaining in the match, facing an uphill battle to save the game.
