Shehzad emphasized that numerous overseas players initially commit to the PSL but frequently opt for the IPL when presented with superior offers, a trend he believes is detrimental to Pakistan's cricket ecosystem.

In a detailed analysis, Shehzad remarked, "On one side, there is the IPL—the most powerful and richest league globally—and on the other is the PSL. Shehzad elaborated, "This matters because Pakistan's team depends on this system. We must talk about it—it's a national concern. What is the mindset of players in the stadium? Do they genuinely want to play, or are they only seeking financial benefits?"
