The supporter intended to attend Barcelona's crucial away match against Newcastle United at the famous St James' Park stadium in Newcastle upon Tyne on Tuesday evening. However, due to a navigational error, he ended up nearly 600 kilometers away in the southwestern city of Exeter, which coincidentally also boasts a stadium named St James Park.

The confused Barcelona enthusiast had apparently traveled from London and relied on his smartphone's mapping application for directions. Without realizing the geographical discrepancy, he simply searched for "St James Park" and followed the provided route to Exeter instead of Newcastle. "One of our volunteers came to the office to let us know that this guy had turned up expecting to see FC Barcelona," Spencer explained.

"His English wasn't great, but from what we could gather, he'd come from London. My guess is he'd put St James Park in his phone and then just followed the directions from there," Spencer elaborated.
