Two Motorcyclists Die in Separate Trichy Accidents

Trichy: Two separate motorcycle accidents in Trichy claimed the lives of two 27-year-old men within 24 hours. The first incident occurred late Tuesday night, while the second took place on Tuesday morning.

First Accident: Loss of Control

N Zahir Hussain, a resident of Woraiyur, was riding his motorcycle home around 12:45 am on Wednesday when he suddenly lost control and fell. He sustained severe injuries and was rushed to Trichy government hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Based on a complaint filed by his wife Gowri, Trichy south police registered a case against him under sections 281 and 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for rash and negligent driving causing death. An autopsy was performed, and the body was handed over to his family. Police have launched an investigation.

Second Accident: Truck Collision

In another incident, V Ramkumar from Yelurpatti near Thottiyam died on Tuesday morning after his motorcycle was hit by a truck on the Trichy-Dindigul national highway. Thottiyam police registered a case under similar sections of the BNS.

Both cases are under investigation. Authorities urge motorcyclists to exercise caution on the roads.
