Chandigarh rowers Jaspal Singh and Yuvraj Singh Parmar secured the gold medal in the men's double scull event at the U-23 National Rowing Championship, held at the Army Rowing Node in Pune. The duo completed the race in 7 minutes and 38.8 seconds, finishing ahead of teams from Odisha, Punjab, and Delhi to claim the top spot on the podium.
Selection trial for Junior Asian Rowing Championship
Rajiv Sharma, secretary of the Chandigarh Rowing Association, stated that the championship served as the selection trial for the Junior Asian Rowing Championship, which has been awarded to India. The event is scheduled for December at the same venue, the Army Rowing Node in Pune. This provides a significant opportunity for the winning rowers to represent the country at the continental level.

Anmol Rattan Sidhu, president of the Chandigarh Rowing Association, congratulated the medal winners and praised their outstanding performance. The victory highlights the growing strength of rowing in Chandigarh and the dedicated training programs supported by the association.
