Kanpur: Yugum International School maintained its lead and emerged as the champion in Zone A of the two-day KSS Inter-school chess championship (classes VI to VIII), which concluded here at Delhi Public School, Kalyanpur on Thursday.
Final Standings
Yugum School collected the highest 19 points after the fifth and final round. Sir Padampat Singhania Education Center stood as the second runner-up with 15 points, while Sri Sanatan Dharm Education Center secured third place with 10 points.
Top Board Performers
The standout performers from boards 1 to 5 were Vania Singh, Shanaya Gupta, Chavi, Trisha Tiwari, and Ekveera Shukla, respectively.
Award Ceremony
Director Shahina Amin congratulated the winners and presented them with medals and trophies. The principal of the host school, Richa Prakash, awarded certificates to the winners and participants.
