As many as 117 students in Pune are facing anxiety as they are yet to receive their Class X results, even though the results were declared on Friday. The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has stated that these marksheets will be uploaded by Tuesday evening, as they were withheld due to technical glitches. However, results withheld due to students' involvement in malpractices will not be declared until after a hearing, officials added.
Parents Express Concern
A parent from Jejuri shared his ordeal, saying his daughter has been worried since Friday when the results were declared but she could not access them online. "It was shocking to open the result website, enter her seat number, and see 'no candidate' written there. I immediately left for Pune and enquired at the divisional office. Initially, they said there was no candidate with that seat number. After I showed them the hall ticket and requested them to check the CCTV cameras, they acknowledged a technical error and asked me to return the next day," the parent recounted.
He returned on Saturday around 11 a.m. and finally received his daughter's result at 6 p.m. "It was given printed on paper with a seal and stamp. Officials said it would be uploaded around noon on Monday, but it is still not visible online. My daughter hasn't eaten well due to anxiety," he added.
Another parent from Bhosari reported that their daughter's result showed 'reserved' when checked online. "She was not involved in any cheating case. We wrote to the official email ID of the state board but received no response. We called the school principal, who spoke to board officials. They said it is a technical issue and would be resolved on Monday. However, we are yet to get the result. It is stressful for all of us. Other children know their marks and are feeling free, but my daughter continues to feel tense since the board announced results on Friday," the mother of the SSC student said.
Board Officials Clarify
State board officials explained that they had received no objection certificates from all divisional boards to declare the results. "There was either some error or missed data due to which these 117 results were kept reserved. It will be declared in a day or two. This is separate from the ones kept reserved due to alleged involvement in malpractices. There will be a hearing for students in the latter category, and their results will be declared as per the hearing," said Trigun Kulkarni, chairperson of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
