What is Sushi?

Sushi is a popular Japanese dish primarily made with vinegared rice, seafood, vegetables, and sometimes seaweed. It is renowned for its layered presentation and unique flavors. It is typically prepared with raw fish, cooked seafood, or vegetarian fillings. There are four main types of sushi:

  • Nigiri: Small portions of rice topped with fish or seafood.
  • Maki: Rice and fillings rolled in seaweed and cut into pieces.
  • Sashimi: Thin slices of raw fish served without rice.
  • Temaki: Cone-shaped hand rolls filled with rice and vegetables or seafood.

Sushi is traditionally served with soy sauce, pickled ginger, and wasabi. It is considered a healthy food due to its protein, healthy fats, and nutrients from fish and vegetables.

Other Foods Ayushmann Loves

As a desi eater, he enjoys home-cooked meals like Rajma Chawal, Kadhi Chawal, and Aloo Paratha. He is also a fan of Tandoori Chicken and Butter Chicken. When in Lucknow, he prefers Rogan Josh, Biryani, Payaki Nihari, Sheermal, and Tokri Chaat.
